Response time varies from person to person. Some patients notice improvements in mood and energy within the first few weeks of treatment, while others take longer. Spravato is always prescribed alongside an oral antidepressant, which helps maintain stability as the treatment progresses.

Spravato is only administered in a certified clinic. During each session, patients:

• Self-administer the nasal spray under a clinician’s guidance.

• Remain under observation for about two hours to monitor for side effects.

• Must arrange a ride home afterward, as temporary dizziness or drowsiness can occur.

Sessions typically occur twice a week for the first month, with frequency tapering over time.
